At KS4 our pupils follow the CCEA GCSE Business Studies Specification. In this unit, pupils are introduced to the fundamentals of starting a business. They examine why businesses start and the resources required to maintain and grow them. Pupils explore business aims and the impact that various stakeholder groups may have on businesses. Pupils explore marketing options and consider the impact of e-business on potential growth strategies. They also consider why businesses conform to quality assurance standards and health and safety legislation.

At KS4 our pupils follow the CCEA OS Office Studies Specification. This unit provides learners with a basic knowledge and understanding of administration practice together with the skills necessary to pursue careers as secretaries, administrators, receptionists or call centre personnel. Learners will have the opportunity to use a range of technological equipment found in the modern office. They will develop their proofreading skills, ensuring all documents are produced to the highest standard and meet agreed specifications. This subject is 100% portfolio based.
