Year 10 pupils attended the Safer Areas for Everyone event at the Clandeboye Lodge, where they took part in an engaging and informative programme designed to promote pupil safety and wellbeing. Over the past few weeks, pupils participated in a series of interactive workshops that explored three key strands of exploitation, including how young people can be targeted, the tactics commonly used by perpetrators and the impact these issues can have on individuals and communities. The sessions were delivered by experienced facilitators who encouraged pupils to think critically, ask questions, and reflect on real-life scenarios. As part of the programme, pupils learned to recognise warning signs, understand their rights, and identify trusted avenues for support. Overall, the event aimed to empower our Year 10 students by increasing their awareness of the different forms of exploitation present within local communities and equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to stay safe and seek help when needed.
