Summer Examinations will be taking place for pupils in Years 8 – 11 on Monday 23, Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 May.
All pupils have a copy of their examination timetable. They should be revising at home to support their learning in school and help them achieve the best possible mark in their examinations.
On Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 the school day will run from 9.00 am – 3.00 pm with lunch from 1.00 pm – 1.30 pm. School buses will run as normal and those pupils in college prior to 9.00 am will be supervised.
On Wednesday 25 May school will start at 9.00 am and finish at 12.30 pm.
From their examination timetable, Year 11 pupils will be aware which sessions they need to attend and therefore should arrive in good time with the appropriate equipment for their examination.
They will be permitted to leave when their examination is over.
As you have already been informed, the Sponsored Walk for Action MS will take place on Thursday 26 May, with school finishing at 12.30 pm. Participants will be required to wear suitable outdoor clothing and bring a waterproof coat. Due to the holiday on Monday 30 May and Staff Development days on the 27 and 31 May, normal timetable will resume for all pupils on Wednesday 1 June.
Transport arrangements for Wednesday and Thursday are as follows:-
School will finish at 12.30 pm, for those pupils using bus services at a later time they may remain in school where a limited lunch service will be provided by the canteen.
Bus times as follows:-
Pupils from Newtownards will be able to get the school bus at 12.55 pm in the school grounds.
Public services for other areas:-
Comber (Cemetery) to Dundonald Village 1.47 pm
Comber (Cemetery) to Ballygowan 1.48 pm
Comber (Cemetery) to Killinchy/Killyleagh 12.40 pm. Pupils using this bus will leave school at 12.30 pm.
