The Odyssey Arena on Friday was a very memorable evening for the 6,000 plus supporters but most notably for a special person in Tom Simpson.
Tom is a year 11 pupil at Nendrum who suffers from a condition called Diamond Blackfan Anaemia. Consequently he needs blood transfusions amost twice a month. The game against the Cardiff Devils was a fundraiser to promote the importance of giving blood.
In school, Tom has an ever present smile and his joy for life is so infectious.
We wish Tom and his family all the very best for the events that lie ahead. Good luck!
