Curtis Hunter has more cross country success in the Co. Down Championships -

With a gutsy display of determination Curtis Hunter followed on from his North Down Schools' success to finish a fine 10th place in the Co. Down Schools' Championships hosted at Dellamont Country Park. In a field of 166 finishers Curtis was committed from the start and he was up battling with the leading bunch. This finishing position ensures his qualification to the Ulster Finals hosted at Mallusk.

The Year 8 team finished a meritable 10th out of 24th teams. The best Year 8 girl was Anjie Irwin in 42nd position out of 140 competitors. In Year 9 the best finisher was Jack Pennell in 39th position with the team finishing 11th out of 17th teams. In the Intermediate race Jamie Mitchell had an outstanding run finishing 12th with the team finishing 6th out of 13 teams.

The entire squad of 24 pupils had a great day of fun, effort and mud. Congratulations to you all for toeing the line and giving it your best.
