GCSE Technology and Design consists of three Units:
Unit 1: Technology and Design Core Content
Unit 2: Option C - Product Design
Unit 3: Design and Manufacturing Project

Controlled Assessment
Students complete a design project comprising a design portfolio and an associated manufacturing task. Teachers mark the design project, and we visit centres to carry out moderation. |

Unit 3: Design and Manufacturing Project (50%)
Each pupil is given the CCEA theme, the pupil has to create a design portfolio and manufacture a product in relation to the set theme. The design portfolio consists of 10 A3 pages which shows development of concepts which concludes to the manufacturing of the final idea.
