Year 8 Foodbank Donation
Students from Nendrum College spent just two weeks collecting in items of food including cereal, sugar, biscuits, tins of food, fruit juice, powdered milk, rice, pasta, tinned meat/fish, jam, crisps and snack bars. Each class went over and beyond what was expected of them collecting over 200kg worth of food.
The pupils and form teachers got very competitive. The class that collected the most food won a trip to visit the Foodbank and to help get some of the food parcels ready for distribution.
Pictured are Year 8 pupils along with their form teachers Mrs Blake, Miss Spense, Mrs Watts, Mrs Jess and Year Head Mr Cowden with Julieann Brownlee from Newtownards Foodbank.
Well done to all the students involved.
